In a time of suburbs and people building houses miles away from the next person, as gas prices climb we are going to find it harder to feed and care for people.

It won't be economical to send food from California to the east coast. When asked what preparations should be made Jean-Yves suggested, "we need to start growing food ourselves, without localization we may see many problems in the disruption of food supplies."

Without localization the rising gas prices could mean that the consumer pays double even triple for food. This will cripple the average family's budget and create a bigger slowdown in the economy.
