Premier India Football Academy students have an excellent season

Press Release Summary = Children from Premier India Football Academy (PIFA) have given stellar performances at the just concluded Mumbai School Sports Association inter-school football tournament.
Press Release Body = Premier India Football Academy (PIFA) trained over 400 children at the following four centers in Mumbai over the last year.

The academy has followed the FA Learning program, whereby the training is age specific in a fun environment. Each child learnt the various aspects of football basics - passing, control, shooting & dribbling with use of appropriate equipment and scientific methods. Skills were developed for older children for 1v1 situation using the Coerver Coaching methods.
Every six months a skills & fitness test was conducted to gauge each students development. Each child was given a sheet that will guide him to work on those aspects of the game that need to be strengthened.
The children from the academy represented their respective schools and stood out with their stellar performances.
Nikhil Sebastian - Bombay Scottish (Powai) helped his school win the title for MSSA U-14 Div III by scoring 10 goals, Subhankar Gandhi - Arya Vidya Mandir (Juhu), also helped his school take third place for MSSA U10 Div II scoring over 10 goals. Other children also did exceptionally well in the tournament and got their names mentioned in the local newpaper for their performances. Dashyang Kachru - Gokuldham; Astle Pereira - St Stanislaus; Siddharth Shah, Armaand Poonawala, Advait Narang & Varun Bargava of Bombay Scottish (Mahim); Divyam Batra -Arya Vidya Mandir (Bandra); Finn Fernandes - St Paul's School. PIFA also trained children from the following school that won · Bombay International School U-12. Div III - 1st place · Bombay International School U-10 Div II - quarter finalist · Campion School U-12 Div I -3rd place · Campion School U-10 Div I - 3rd place · Campion School U-8 Div 1 - 3rd place Kean Lewis from Hiranandani School, Powai went for trials to Leicester City FC. Five children from the academy have been selected to play for Mahindra United U-15 team and twos boys are selected for India under 16 trials. Similar training methods were also used for 2 senior men's team Kickbutt FC & PIFA-Colaba Youngstar FC. Both teams won their respective tournaments. Kickbutt FC won the Bombay Gymkhana 9 a side tournament, while PIFA-Colaba Youngstar FC topped the senior division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) tournament. The team got promoted to the MDFA SUPER division.
Due to increasing demand, PIFA has now opened another center at the Bombay Scout & Guides ground in Juhu. Another 2 centers are planned this year, including one in Pune.
PIFA also provides an opportunity for the children to be seen by coaches & talent scouts from Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, AC Milan, Bolton Wanderers FC, Rangers Football Club, Everton FC on their camps abroad in summer.
