leading manufacturer of experience-driven Internet devices, today announced that it
has completed its previously announced spin-off from PChome Online, Taiwan's leading
Internet portal and online shopping company. The spin-off enables IPEVO to continue
to expand its mission to transform and humanize the Internet experience through
functional, innovatively designed and purposeful IP devices, as reflected in the new
company's slogan - What I Experience I Believe.

IPEVO products unlock Internet and web-based services from the computer - giving
consumers innovative devices that seamlessly integrate into their lifestyles and
living spaces. As a certified Skype hardware partner, IPEVO devices run Skype out of
the box and give users the freedom to enjoy Skype's free and low cost calling
services without being tied to a desktop or laptop computer. By making Skype
tangible and closer to familiar behaviors, IPEVO helps broaden Skype's reach to mass
consumers.

The newly independent IPEVO will retain its headquarters in Taiwan - one of Skype's
most successful markets with more than 6 million registered users. In fact, 1 in 4
people in Taiwan are registered Skype users. This high adoption rate provides IPEVO
with direct access to a large user base as the company continues to strengthen its
strategic alignment with Skype and develop dedicated hardware solutions for Skype
users.

Since it was initially formed as a business unit in PChome Online in 2005, IPEVO has
garnered numerous industry awards for its innovative, well designed, and functional
design, including the Good Design Award, Reddot Design Award, iF Product Design
Award, and I.D. magazine Annual Design Award.

As part of the spin-off, IPEVO will also incorporate its long-time design consulting
partner, xrange's industrial design unit. The newly formed company integrates
IPEVO's innovative Internet start-up background with the expertise of a boutique
design firm to develop an international brand of functional, stylish and
user-friendly products. In addition, IPEVO can leverage the vast electronics R&D
manufacturing network of its home Taiwan. Design, engineering and R&D can be
integrated into one localized entity to increase the speed and quality with which
products are developed, tested, and marketed.
