Unique Gated Community Built around On-Site Working Winery coming to North Carolina!
Orrell Associates Realty, of Granite Falls, NC announced today for one of its clients, Home-sites will be built around a working winery in North Carolina. Soon those who love wine and winemaking will be able to live out their passions in a unique, upscale gated community where life will revolve around the activities of an actual working winery. The to-be "Winery at Granite Falls" will be located on a142 acre site near the small town of Granite Falls, NC and will resemble a quaint Italian village that's been transported to the foothills of western North Carolina, one of the nation's best climates for growing the grapes that are the essence of winemaking.
Constructed in classic Italian architectural style, "The Winery at Granite Falls" will be centered around a traditional stone fountain in the heart of the village, where the winemaking operation and retail wine Shoppe will also be located. The village's amenities will include retail shops, two fine Italian bistros with open-air dining, cobblestone streets, walled gardens, an actual working vineyard and clusters of one-, two- and three-story premier villa home-sites---all designed in an eclectic mix of traditional Italian styles and connected with paved cobblestone roads and lush, well-planned greenways throughout the community.
Home-site owners will have part-ownership interest in the vineyard, the proceeds from which will offset the customary membership fees normally associated with community clubhouses and activities (as well as covering the cost of overhead for operating the winery).
Pre-sales of the winery's home-sites are expected to begin later this year with ground-breaking and construction activities to begin during the first quarter of 2008. Approximately 300 home-sites are currently being planned. Although private and serene, this community will be within a short driving distance of commercial shopping, including Wal-Mart and other major retail chains, Health and Spa centers, medical facilities, golf clubs plus short distance access to Interstate highway connections. The famous Biltmore Estates & Gardens, the NFL Carolina Panthers, the NBA Charlotte Bobcats and the NC ski slopes are only a little more than an hours' drive away.
