Press Release Body: Birmingham, AL - At the age of 16, Jeffery McAnnally, thought of his newly acquired driver's license as his pass to freedom. In fact, for many eager 16 year olds, a driver's license is their rite of passage to adulthood. But for many parents, handing over the car keys can be stressful, especially given the fact that car accidents are the leading cause of death among teens and more than one third of all deaths of 16-18 year olds.
On April 2, 1993, Jeffery McAnnally came very close to being one of those statistics. A single car accident left this 16 year-old in a coma with numerous broken bones, a traumatic brain injury and his doctors giving very little hope for recovery. But, with his will and determination, he not only overcame the many hurdles he faced with such severe injuries, he is now one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the Birmingham area.
Now, fifteen years after that horrifying accident, 30 year-old McAnnally reflects back on how he has and continues to overcome obstacles resulting from his injuries.
