Big Bull Creative, of Plaistow New Hampshire, announces they are recipient of a prestigious Summit International Creative Award.
The winning entry was for the re-design of the Salem, New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce logo. Last year, the chamber asked for creative members to form a task force to discuss the need for a new identity. Big Bull Creative was asked to partake. Donna Morris, the current president at the time, explained why the old logo wasn't working for them, and asked the task force to come up with a logo to assist the chamber match the direction they were going in.
"We submitted around 4 concepts, and our 5 pillar design was chosen," exclaimed Maryann Little, Creative Director and Owner of Big Bull Creative. "The 5 pillars are an abstract of the progressive movement of the five towns that make up the chamber. The new logo is much more in sync with the evolvement of the chamber."
"We're extremely excited by this news," said Little, "In the last year, requests for help in branding and logo work for startups and companies having trouble with their current image perception have tripled for us."
The Summit International Awards panel of judges included some of the most recognizable firms in the country. Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather, brandUNITY, EvoLogue, were just some of the agencies that had a creative member sit on the panel of judges. There were thousands of entries from over 20 participating countries for the awards in all areas of art and media. Submissions are evaluated based on the strength of their big idea, the quality of execution and their ability to communicate and persuade. They were created 14 years ago to celebrate creative accomplishments of small and medium sized advertising agencies and other creative companies throughout the world.
